So. Tired. Zzzzzzz…….
I just started working full time again last Monday… and my workday starts at 7am so I’ve gotta get up at 6, Monday to Friday in order to get to work. My usual schedule consisted of me getting up around 10 if I was feeling ambitious so you can imagine how hard it was for me to adjust (in fact, I’m still doing it! lol). In addition to having to get into the groove of work, we had guests (Hi Jonas! Hi Linda!) this weekend from California, my sister had a baby a couple of weeks ago, I had to attend a birthday party, I had some brides-maid duties, AND I’ve got to prepare for the upcoming GOT CRAFT? show! eeps. This always seems to happen to me… when things happen, they ALL happen at once! The girly girls got together to help Miss M assemble her wedding invite. Here are some shots of a few of the 200 plus bows we tied onto them. Not sure why the pics came out so dark… the ribbons are actually much cheerier than depicted!

The colour scheme is Citrus and our lovely green bridesmaid dresses will be made by Jane Bon Bon! Exciting. :)

Tip for tying ribbon to cards- tie TWO knots before you do the bow. This way, the bow will sit in the direction you want it to go easier. Also, this is an obvious one but easy to forget- LONGER is always better than too short! You can always trim the end but too short and your SOL. Man, those tiny bows left me with sore fingertips! This is a great money saving act though- if they had ordered the ribbons with the cards it would have cost an additional 75 cents per card (.75 x 250 = $187.50 saved!) We used 6 rolls of thin ribbon which Melissa scored for 25 cents each. Add in a little labour of love and you’ve put aside some money for more important things. Like the open bar. Heh.
And of course, for those of you in the area, need I remind you again that the GOT CRAFT? fair is happening this Sunday at the Commercial Legion Hall! Wheeeeeeeee! ;) This’ll be a great show with hoardes of talented artists. First 30 people through the door get an awesome bag of sshhhhhwwwaaaag! If you want one though you better get there early as people line up a couple hours in advance to score one of these!Hope to see you there and don’t forget, Mother’s Day is coming up soon! hint hint, buy your mom an awesome present at the fair! ;)
